Perfect weather welcomed the OXC Racing crowd to the Johnson Family’s property in Trenton, MO for Round 8 of the 9 race series.  The OXC crew put together a great 7.5 mile track with lots of timber sections, and fast field sections as well.  A nice bonus to the track had to be the bridges that spanned all of the creeks.  These bridges were made from pallets donated by Shrum Racing.  The track conditions were nearly perfect this year, setting the stage for some great racing.

The Pee-Wee and Women’s classes were the first to tear out and enjoy the great track layout.  Close battles gave spectators great racing to watch throughout the morning.  Multiple viewing points gave excellent views from different spots on the track close to the main pit area as the women and minis hammered through the fields.

The afternoon race was also full of excitement and racers with over 100 riders competing in the various classes.  The Pro class had a talented turnout with multiple state and national champions in attendance.  In addition the afternoon classes had a lot of racers working on gaining points as the season comes to an end.

Carson Coffman pulled the Pro holeshot and lead for nearly 2 of the 7.5 miles of the first lap.  A flying and determined Duane Johnson came from a last place to start to take over the lead right around the 3 mile marker.  Michael Burrows and Kyle Martin would also make the charge towards the front on the first lap.  The three riders battled it out all day with only seconds separating the three of them.  Lead changes and close racing gave all in attendance a great race to watch up front.

Duane Johnson was able to regain the lead from Kyle Martin near the end of the race and hold on to win with Martin just 5 seconds off, and Michael Burrows following closely behind him!  The other classes were not short of battles either or excitement.  The Pro-Am class saw a new winner this round with Tucker Wyatt moving up and taking an impressive class win.

Perfect weather and great racing made for an awesome weekend.  The OXC crew did and excellent job again, a big thanks to them!  Thanks to the Johnson Family for letting us all have fun on their property.  We also wish A class racer Scott Dorton a speedy recovery as his wicked high speed crash left him bashed up, and even broke in a few spots.

Only one more race left this year!  Everyone get ready for Eugene, it will decide some championships, so the battles will be great!  For more information be sure to check out www.oxcracing.com.
